I have a picture of Marilyn Monroe

on my wall at home and she s lifting weights.

She s wearing basically these jeans.

I ll just call them the Marilyn jean.

I heard about these jeans

and I thought it would be fun to do some breaking in myself.

I tend to go for jeans that sit high on the waist.

They just tend to flatten my shape a bit more

than other jeans and I m a bit of a tomboy

so I like a jean that has a bit of a slouch to it.

I m not really a skinny jeans kind of girl.

I like to wear a lot of prints.

I just thought, well, print on print

and a heel to dress it up a little bit.

Yesterday I was wearing these jeans

with a white button up shirt and a blazer

so it had a sort of different, more masculine feeling.

I think there s sort of this attitude toward pairing back

and being a bit more minimal

and I think there s nothing more minimal

than a pair of dark denim indigo jeans.

Basically, in the world of high waisted jeans,

it s either you go 70s with a flair

or you go 50s

and I ve never actually gone 50s

so I thought, why don t I try that?
