Remember that red-hot minute when twinning—dressing identically to a partner in crime—was the quickest way to catch the eye of street style photographers? Thankfully, that unimaginative stratagem has largely come and gone, and its next iteration has appeared in Seoul, where the city’s Fall 2019 Fashion Week wrapped up on Sunday.
As it so happens, the head-to-toe matching “couple look,” as it’s locally known, did originate in South Korea—which makes last week’s switch-up one of particular note. No matter which way you slice it, it is a fun and less eye-roll-inducing obvious way to dress up with a friend. Where style is concerned, that’s always a good thing.
Here, five ways to give Seoul’s twinning 2.0 a go.
