Whitney Weeks and Doug Pickett’s Wedding
If you think Whitney Weeks and Doug Pickett look like they jumped right out of a Ralph Lauren catalog, it’s because they actually did. “He was the face of the men’s Polo ads, and I was a stylist back then,” says Whitney of when the two initially met. Fast-forward a few years and Doug proposed to Whitney on a surf trip in Costa Rica. The two began planning their bohemian wedding on Martha’s Vineyard and ultimately exchanged vows where the horse fields meet the beach.
Photo: Lucy Cuneo1/35For our invitations, ceremony cards, and menus, I collaborated with Brooklyn-based designer Happy Menocal, who is a dream to work with. She integrated the Edgartown lighthouse, thistles, and dogwood blooms (the state flower of North Carolina, where Doug is from) into a custom crest.
