A Pop Star Like Addison and Brand-New Versace? It’s a Match Made in Heaven

Earlier this week, designer Dario Vitale made his highly-anticipated debut for Versace. Taking the reigns from longtime creative director, Donatella Versace, Vitale introduced himself with the Italian label’s spring 2026 collection. The show made for one of Milan Fashion Week’s most-discussed collections: Vitale reinterpreted the late-1980s house codes cultivated by late founder Gianni Versace, reworking Versace’s sprightly prints and zesty colors in everything from sharp-shouldered suits to sexy bra tops.

Though these pieces only hit the catwalk two days ago, you best believe a popstar like Addison Rae has a scheme to her hands on them. The “Fame is a Gun” singer wore brand-new Versace last night on her Addison tour in Nashville, Tennessee. She emerged to sing her songs “Money Is Everything” and “High Fashion”—how fitting!—wearing the sparkly silver and gold bra top from look 66, and the bejeweled briefs from look 75. For an even more theatrical touch (it is a stage look, after all), Rae also wore a singular crystal-embellished purple glove, which had also appeared on the runway with a leather vest and trousers.

Together, it was all very much a showgirl-worthy (sorry, Taylor) outfit. Clearly, Rae and her stylist, Dara, have been doing their fashion homework—and not to mention, it is a serious flex to rock fresh-off-the-runway pieces before Milan Fashion Week is even over. We must know: Did Versace overnight them the pieces right after the show? Did they have a custom ensemble made well before the collection even debuted? We have questions.

One concrete answer, however, is that Addison Rae is the perfect star to wear such designs. Is there anyone more well-suited to a disco-ball bra than a Gen-Z pop star? Plus, given how Addison is extremely Y2K-era Britney Spears coded, it would only make sense she would gravitate towards Versace, a label that has long dressed and supported Britney in her music career as well. Call it a carrying of the torch—and Addison wears it well.
