Demi Moore is one star who knows the power of a varied, aesthetic-spanning serve. One day, she’s souping up her power suits for fall. The next, she’s going full gothic glam on the red carpet.
Last night, Moore stepped out for the fourth annual Kering Foundation Caring for Women dinner in New York City, wearing a look that spoke to her enduring love of sequins. The actor, styled by Brad Goreski, wore a clingy, high-necked and long sleeve Gucci gown covered in black glittering sequin. With slightly sheer sleeves and a high slit, it was elegant and statement-making without shouting too loud. Posing next to Colman Domingo and Salma Hayek Pinault (who wore an elegant black Balenciaga suit dress), Moore’s glitzy look shone.
Moore has long been a lover of sequin. She wore a show-stopping silver Armani gown when nominated for best actress at the 2025 Oscars, and turned heads at Dolce Gabbana’s 40th anniversary celebrations in a sheer silver gown studded with the glittery stuff, an opulent play on the enduring naked dressing trend. Elsewhere, she’s opted for sequin sea blue Balenciaga, and chose a sparkling structural Alexander McQueen gown for last year’s BAFTAs.
Still, Demi Moore never rests on her style laurels. You can guarantee she’ll be doing the high-octane gowns from her favorite fashion houses this season (from Armani to Balenciaga) while also showing off more tailored looks, likely from Thom Browne and YSL.
But with the ’80s opulent glam styles trending on fall winter 2025’s runways, expect to see more studded and sequin-delighting dresses across the forthcoming awards season.
