The brief walk from the parking lot to Giorgio Baldi restaurant’s host table has established itself as a pantheon for more than one faction of celebrity taste. From Rihanna to Justin and Hailey Bieber, and Lauren Sánchez and Jeff Bezos, it’s not just about establishing a penchant for the particularly hot Italian restaurant; this is where celebrities hang out and dress up for their cheese ravioli.
Elle and Dakota Fanning joined the Baldi heads yesterday evening, heading to dinner at the restaurant in complementing silky, monochromatic looks.
Younger sister Elle wore a black silk slip dress that hit just below the knee, with sheer straps and panelling that snaked down the bodice with light embroidery, paired with black kitten heels and a small rectangular clutch bag. She wore her light, golden blonde hair loose and in a middle part, with minimal makeup save for her signature red lip.
Dakota opted for an oversized white silk shirt worn open and over a silk v-neck top, with flowing black pants and a ladylike boxy handbag. She also kept her makeup to the basics, and her blonde hair relaxed in a similar fashion to her sister. Both looks were in the same rhythm of easy, breezy summer evening style—and it looks like Dakota saved her white silks from any red sauce spillage.
Both the Fanning sisters have established personal styles that are feminine and refined. Sentimental Value actor Elle in particular has looked to Loewe, Sarah Burton’s Givenchy debut, Prada, and Alessandro Michele’s Valentino for her dramatic, princessy silhouettes and Old Hollywood-indebted yet playful and youthful red carpet looks. Dakota has her own glamorous rhythm too, with Dolce Gabbana and Giorgio Armani on call. A twinning moment and pre-Oscars sisters night had to be in matching, quilted Chanel.
It’s also been reported that the sisters are working on a forthcoming project together: Death in Apartment 603: What Happened to Ellen Greenberg? is coming from the Fanning sisters’s production company Lewellen Pictures. The three-part series will follow the Greenberg family’s 14-year quest to uncover the truth of their daughter Ellen Greenberg’s death—ruled a suicide, they believe there’s a murder to expose. This is one of several projects the Fannings currently have in the works for 2025.
It’s not often Elle and Dakota Fanning are photographed out in the wild, much less at a celebrity haunt. But the evening was all smiles, understated style, and sisterly chic. The ravioli must be that good.
