Attending a Hollywood fête like the annual Vanity Fair Oscar Party may seem like the kind of thing that’s best done in person, but let me assure you (as someone who has never once been invited, but did famously attend the 2019 premiere of Lindsay Lohan’s Beach House): a little distance is ideal, if only from a not-getting-COVID or not-having-to-wear-heels perspective. And, luckily for all of us, the red carpet for this year’s party, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary, will be livestreamed.
Queer Eye’s Tan France and Survival of the Thickest star Michelle Buteau will co-host the livestream, which starts at 11 p.m. EST/8 p.m. PST following the Oscars broadcast on Sunday, March 10, and can be viewed at vanityfair.com, on Vanity Fair’s YouTube channel, or right here on vogue.com. Tune in for the gowns, and hopefully a few good lip-reading moments (that is, unless all the celebrities bring fans à la Taylor Swift, which I wouldn’t blame them for; those things really add some drama to an outfit!).
