Issa Rae matched her clothes to her megawatt smile while out in New York City this morning. The actor, writer, and producer was seen leaving her car at the Good Morning America studios in a bright white crocheted set and cream-colored stilettos. She embellished her matching skirt and top with simple gold jewelry: a chain bracelet, chunky earrings, and a thin necklace. (Her cushion-cut engagement ring is the only exception to her yellow gold accents.) Rae, who recently stole scenes as President Barbie in Greta Gerwig s Barbie, also carried a brown Gucci Diana mini tote bag—the perfect doll-like accessory.
The Insecure creator recently expressed her disdain for the color pink, which she (like many of her castmates) had been wearing prior to the film s release. “I, like, actually hate pink. So much,” she told Amelia Dimoldenberg at the Barbie premiere. “I m in the pink spirit for this movie, and then after it s done I ll burn it all.” Although she may be a dedicated pink hater, she rocked her Pepto Bismol-hued outfits with aplomb, including looks by Marc Bouwer and Self Portrait.

Whether or not Issa Rae actually took a torch to her pink wardrobe remains to be seen, but she looks thrilled to return from Barbieland with the rest of the rainbow now at her disposal.
