Goodbye Sambas! This spring, Jennifer Lawrence has moved onto a new pair of Adidas.
The actor, who recently welcomed her second child with husband Cooke Maroney, embraced transseasonal dressing on a rainy day in New York. Lawrence opted for a white leather coat from The Row that she’s kept in rotation over the last several years, worn over a light gray hoodie. She kept the rest of her look lowkey with a pair of light-wash baggy jeans, and white Adidas with red stripes.
While Lawrence has been a proponent of the über-popular Sambas, Vans Authentics, and Puma Speedcats (not to mention her general love of the statement shoe), she’s trying out a new, slimmer sneaker for spring: the Adidas Tokyos. This isn’t the first time she’s worn them either. Last week, she took the trainers for a spin, pairing them with a springy butter yellow jacket, white tee, white midi skirt, and zebra Fendi backpack.
While the Sambas were already plenty slim, the Tokyo offers an even more streamlined, ’70s-inspired silhouette. When we’re all ready to shed our winter layers, Jennifer Lawrence knows that a pair of lightweight, aerodynamic sneakers couldn’t come at a better moment.
