The cold is creeping in, and with it comes one of our all-time favorite fall outfit formulas: a leather jacket, baggy jeans, and boots. But as Lily-Rose Depp and 070 Shake modeled this week in London, a simple brief can offer so much room to experiment.
The couple were spotted bopping around London’s Primrose Hill neighborhood with friends, stopping into the celebrity favorite Fara Charity Shop. Depp encoded the cold weather fit with her own off-duty ballerina style: wrapped up in a muted blue scarf, she wore a rich brown leather jacket over an oatmeal sweater, and added a pair of lightly distressed medium wash jeans that rested atop her sand-toned Uggs. Ever the Chanel loyalist, Depp slung a white leather tote over her shoulder with the telltale gold interlocking C logo peeking out from beneath her arm.
Shake, meanwhile, opted for more vibrant pops of color, wearing a cobalt blue sweater underneath a two-toned brown suede jacket. On the bottom, she chose a pair of low-slung, baggy indigo jeans, which pooled over a pair of extreme lug-sole Balenciaga boots.
In the past, my colleagues across the pond have referred to Lily-Rose Depp and 070 Shake’s couple style as “almost as discordant as the Biebers’,” thanks to Depp’s penchant for miniskirts and ballet flats, while Shake favors a more androgynous Canadian tuxedo. But now, as the weather cools down, the two are finding common sartorial ground, all while still keeping their distinct fashion DNA.
