She may be deep in the throes of her Freakier Friday press tour, but Lindsay Lohan is turning to another film for inspiration: Clueless.
Following the film’s 30th anniversary earlier this month, Lohan embraced Cher Horowitz’s most iconic costume, although her look was definitely more ladies who lunch than schoolgirl chic. (There are no knee socks to speak of here!) Styled by Andrew Mukamal—the Barbie press tour impresario who transformed Margot Robbie into the famous doll—LiLo opted for a Balmain skirt suit (a cropped jacket and button-though skirt) in a yellow plaid tweed. This was no dowdy look, though. Lohan’s interpretation was outfitted with a mini hemline, padded shoulders, raw hem, and body-conscious silhouette.
Lohan’s accessories cemented this modern ladies who lunch outfit. She pulled her signature strawberry blonde hair back with a banana yellow headband, which matched her Christian Louboutin stiletto sandals. Anchoring the bold color palette were classic accessories: a pair of round, tortoiseshell sunglasses, and a black Hermès Kelly. Clearly pro mixing metals, Lohan paired her gold buttoned outfit with a silver hardware-laden bag.
