By all means, move at a glacial pace. Miranda Priestly and Nigel Kipling just made a last minute appearance on the front row of Dolce Gabbana’s Milan Fashion Week show.
Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci got into their Devil Wears Prada characters—and were also joined by their new castmate for Devil Wears Prada 2, Simone Ashley—for today’s runway show, dressed in full Dolce.
Streep, as the formidable Runway magazine editor Priestly, wore a patent cream trench coat, which cinched at the waist with an animal print belt, cropped black trousers, cream satin pumps, and a matching print clutch bag. She accessorized with a thick gold necklace, and cream frame angular sunglasses. Her gray-white bob was worn parted elegantly to the side and flipped over. Tucci, beside her, wore a tailored gray three-piece suit with a black shirt, graphic tie, and black frame sunglasses. Ashley wore a black corset top with a thick, D&G logo-printed waistband, and a sparkling, sheer beige pencil skirt. The trio put their best serious fashion faces on to take in the spring 2026 collection by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, joining the likes of Naomi Campbell, Mun Ka Young, and NCT member Doyoung on the front row.

The legendary editor has not been seen at the shows in nearly two decades, but if you’re to believe rumors (and plot spoilers from the book), there’s a major plot twist for the globally-known bible of fashion in the future. Priestly and Kipling saw a collection that majored on pajamas, where decorative highlights included spring florals and a cerulean adjacent blue.
Filming for the sequel to the 2006 movie has been well under way in New York, which sees Streep and Tucci return to their iconic roles alongside Anne Hathaway (as Andy Sachs) and Emily Blunt (as Emily Charlton). So far, the fashion on set has been dominated by Gabriela Hearst, Phoebe Philo, and a lot of Coach bags. Priestly has been spotted dressed in a tailored Lanvin coat, and a rich red taffeta gown for a Met Gala-esque scene.
What was Miranda Priestly’s takeaways from Dolce Gabbana? Well, it looks like they were filming scenes for the movie, so you’ll have to wait for a future editor’s letter in Runway, when the movie drops in spring 2026.
