The most exciting hotel openings of 2025 are across (almost) every single continent. “Almost” in the technical sense—as one hotel by Silversea will open in the world’s southernmost city of Puerto Williams, Chile, which lies in the sub-Antarctic zone of Patagonia—and from there, you can take a boat to Antarctica and all its wonders.
Silversea’s new stay is just one of the new or anticipated openings across the globe: in Amsterdam, a Rosewood will open in the UNESCO World Heritage Canal District, complete with gardens by Piet Odulf. New York will see the triumphant return of its grand dame, the Waldorf Astoria. Meanwhile, a new luxury lodge will open within Kenya’s 44,000-acre Suyian Conservancy—giving adventurers a chance to observe the endangered Grévy s zebra.
Below, the 28 most anticipated hotel openings of 2025.
