Two events, one pair of shoes. Last night was busy for Olivia Wilde, but the director seamlessly transitioned between engagements thanks in part to her trusty pair of leather platform Casadei Rock boots.
Wilde kicked off the evening in West Hollywood for One Fair Wage’s “Server for an Hour” event. Joined by Chrissy Teigen, Sarah Paulson, and Jamie Lee Curtis, Wilde worked as a server at the event, manning the bar, and taking orders in support of federal efforts to increase the minimum wage. For her brief waitressing stint, the Don’t Worry Darling director wore a black long-sleeved Etro shirtdress with a floral pattern on the cuffs and collar. The ankle-length jersey dress left just enough room for Wilde to show off her black platform leather boots. With the ‘70s floral touches and the sky-high stompers, the actor and director looked a very retro Wednesday Addams.
Wilde, however, ended the night in a look that was much more in line with her intimidating boots. She left an event for Banana Republic in the brand’s sleeveless leather Ines dress that matched perfectly to her shoes, a pair of dark Ray-Ban Wayfarer Reverse sunglasses, and a black bag. Altogether, the look was far more dominatrix-chic than it was ’70s.
While the boots added a tough flair to both looks, they carried two totally different looks in one night. Hats off to Wilde and her stylist, Karla Welch, for finding a great pair of statement shoes that work for all occasions.
