Synopsis | Navigating Truth in the Age of A.I.: Fact-Checking and Media Literacy

In a world where information is abundant and easily accessible through AI-driven technologies, the need for effective fact-checking and media literacy has never been more critical. In **"Navigating Truth in the Age of A.I.: Fact-Checking and Media Literacy" **, Giuseppe De Bellis (Journalist, Director Sky TG24), renowned expert in media analysis, will delve into the intricate relationship between AI, information dissemination, and the potential pitfalls of misinformation. Drawing from his extensive experience, De Bellis will explore how AI can both facilitate and complicate the spread of accurate information. He will shed light on the challenges posed by deep fakes, AI-generated content, and algorithmic biases that can distort our understanding of reality. With a focus on empowerment, the panel will discuss strategies to enhance media literacy in the age of AI. De Bellis will share insights into how individuals can develop critical thinking skills to discern reliable sources from misinformation, helping them navigate the complex landscape of modern media. Attendees will gain valuable knowledge on identifying credible information, understanding the AI tools behind content creation, and making informed judgments in an era where the line between truth and deception can be blurred.
