Selena Gomez may have made it official with Benny Blanco, but that doesn’t mean she’s going to sacrifice a good old fashioned girls’ night out. Gomez and Taylor Swift lit up New York City on Friday night, with each of the singers putting their own spin on a classic fall outfit.
Both Swift and Gomez opted for the miniskirt and tall boots combo for their evening out at Ramy Youssef’s standup show benefitting Anera. For Gomez’s femme fatale look, stylist Erin Walsh selected a matching faux snakeskin trench coat and miniskirt from Rejina Pyo (the trench retails for $1,135 and the skirt is $355). Black basics rounded out the rest of the look: She wore a form-fitting Anine Bing top, pointy-toe over-the-knee Stuart Weitzman boots, transparent Calzedonia tights. A small black Jacquemus purse completed the outfit.
And for Swift? The singer looked straight out of her Evermore era in this autumnal ‘fit: She wore a cozy taupe bomber jacket with white faux-fur lining from Gant, the bottom of her olive green ribbed top poking out from underneath. For her miniskirt, Swift—like Gomez—leaned into prints, though in lieu of snakeskin she went for a pleated houndstooth number. She also wore a pair of sheer black Calzedonia tights, and added a pop of color with her knee-high raspberry Reformation boots.
So now the question is: Are you a houndstooth girlie or snakeskin girlie? Either way, Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift are here to offer some inspiration for your next GNO.
