Summer is (almost) over and Taylor Swift is ushering in the new season with some fall wardrobe staples. The singer, on hiatus from her record-breaking Eras Tour, stepped out for dinner in New York with a roster of famous friends that has us reminiscing on her Squad days of yore. While Swift’s il Buco dinner companions—Greta Gerwig, Laura Dern, and Zoë Kravitz—had the internet abuzz, we’ve got our eyes trained on the fall fit that rivals the autumnal covers of Red (Taylor’s Version), folklore, and evermore.
Now that the weather in the city is finally cooling down, Swift was able to break out her seasonally appropriate footwear—a pair of black leather knee-high Christian Louboutin boots. The singer coordinated her round-toed boots, which first appeared in the label s fall 2023 collection, with her black leather Versace Greca Goddess top handle bag. Her versatile black shift dress is wearable in any season, but she adapted it for the rapidly cooling weather with a calf-length Vince coat that grazed the top of her shoes. The camel and brown houndstooth coat, which retails for $845, added a touch of autumnal warmth to her otherwise all-black look. Swift kept the look neutral in black and brown tones, save for the telltale red bottoms, which she matched to her ruby lipstick.
The knee-high boots are the perfect transitional style for fall. They go with any outfit—mini or maxi, as Swift showed—and add a bit of polish to your look. We are certain that Swift will give us some more fall inspiration as she is a self-proclaimed “basic autumn lover”.
