Is Timothée Chalamet due to be (re-)appointed a Chanel Boy? In anticipation of Matthieu Blazy’s tenure at the French house, the actor has been wearing a whoooole lot of Chanel.

Last night in New York, Chalamet expanded his accessory collection with a silver quilted crossbody flap bag with a chain strap. But that wasn’t the only place we spotted the interlocking C’s on his outfit: Continuing his recent scarf obsession, Chalamet also bundled up in a pink, burgundy, brown, and gray knit.

While he’s clearly gung-ho on Chanel right now, Chalamet embraced logos in every aspect of his outfit. Splashed across his chocolate brown skullcap was the Arc’teryx logo, large and neon yellow. Other markers were subtler, like on the breast of his bubblegum pink Telfar puffer jacket. And anyone who lived through the aughts will recognize True Religion’s telltale stitching across the back pockets of his baggy, low-slung jeans.

Chalamet has never been a quiet dresser—he is always willing to take risks with styling and silhouettes. Over the course of his A Complete Unknown press tour, he continued to embrace revered menswear designers like Haider Ackermann (who chose Chalamet to debut his first look for Tom Ford at the Golden Globes) and Martine Rose. But in this off-duty look, Timothée Chalamet is making a strong plea for the return of good, old-fashioned logomania.
