Missoni and Armarium Hosted a Dreamy Summer Evening at Surf Lodge

It was one of those Goldilocks August nights where everything was just right: The temperature hovered in the low 80s, the breeze was light and refreshing, and the sunset was uninterrupted by clouds. By all means the perfect night for Missoni and Armarium to host a summer party at Montauk’s Surf Lodge.

The “luxury on loan” e-retailer and the Italian fashion house recently expanded their partnership, with Armarium now offering many pieces from the Spring Summer 2019 collection and Pre-Fall 2019 collection on its site. To do so was a natural fit, said Ottavio Missoni Jr., given “the lifestyle of Missoni and the bohemian way of wearing Missoni."

He wasn’t the only Missoni in the crowd that night: Jennifer Missoni, too, attended the summertime soirée. Montauk holds a special place in her heart: The actress has been going to the beach town since the 1980s. A lot has changed—“The movie theater is now a SoulCycle!” she recalls. But there’s one place from the old days that she’ll visit every time she’s in town: “I love coming to Gosman’s. I’m taking Ottavio and his fiancée there tomorrow night!”

Jennifer and Ottavio, along with Charlotte Groeneveld and Sarah Hoover, were the hosts of the festive evening. Other notable guests included Jessica Hart, Jessie Loeffler Randall, and Casey Fremont.

Beachside tables were adorned with cushions, beach towels, and candles from Missoni’s Home collection. Dinner was served family-style and included watermelon and feta salad, heirloom tomatoes, couscous, and scrumptious grilled fish.

Even after the food was cleared away and the sun set, the party kept going—some even migrating over from the beach to join the always rollicking crowd on the Surf Lodge deck. After all, it was an August Thursday night in Montauk. Why not make the most of it?
