This season Donna Karan s woman

is truly in touch with her masculine side.

But that hourglass silhouette could ve stepped

right out of The Picture of Dorian Gray.

[lounge music]

I was really influenced by my husband.

You know, it was about a man and a woman,

it was about his architecture

and his sculpture, and putting his strengths into me

because that s what I need right now.

I wanted to care for us, protect us,

but not have us lose our sensuality.

[blues pop music]

I think there was a lot there that s very

sort of, film noir, and there was a lot there

that was very very wearable.

The red, white, and black

that ran throughout and the grays,

I think were sort of like, quite a take away

from what we re seeing on the runway with everybody.

The styling was great.

It feels more powerful and at the same time

you imagine your moves are a little bit more iconic,

your body moves, you know, differently

and especially if you re wearing the little hats

which are fantastic.

I loved the tipped hats and the rolled hair.

I thought it was modern,

but a little bit of a throwback.

I love the hat.

I almost walked out in a hat.

I look good in that hat.

You will see me in that hat, I promise.

[Interviewer] And how do you feel

about that hourglass silhouette?

I love it.

It s my natural silhouette,

so I m hoping most of it ll fit.

[honky tonk music]

The tiny waist, the big shoulders,

the really beautiful coats,

you know, the texture of the pony skin,

it was about celebrating a woman s silhouette.

[house music]

I was showing the totality of lifestyle.

We do a collection casual, you know,

industries kind of throw it on,

don t have to think about it,

kind of hang out and be ourselves.

And then there s that day we gotta go to work

and we have to be.

You know cameras, lights, action, we re on.

I see her full world.

[pop music]

Donna, when she came out at the end,

looked fabulous herself.

It was like it s new Donna coming out, you know,

very sculpted and very feline and very lot of energy.
