Giorgio Armani has called

his latest collection, Easy Chic.

It s part classic, part eccentric.

Only he can meld those elements quite this way.

I love the beginning of the Armani show.

I ve been seeing a lot of Houndstooth

and menswear fabrics.

And who better to do them than Armani?

The man who sort of reinvented suit-dressing for women.

My heart kind of lifted

when he opened with mannish tailoring.

Because the first time I ever went to an Armani show

that s what I fell in love with.

And I really wanted one of those masculine tailored suits.

[Tim] You know, he talks about

modernizing eccentricity in the show nights.

There was a lot of other stuff going on I think,

that kind of vindicates the collection.

Well there was a lot of forceful, strong color.

I thought there was a playfulness about a lot of the shapes.

Particularly in the coats.

Evening wear shorts. Who doesn t love evening wear shorts?

Armani s the only person that can actually get away with it.

They actually looked, you know, super cool and sexy.

And he s one of the few people that can do that very well.

I thought also that it s interesting

that here we are the morning after the Oscars,

and this was very consciously not a red carpet

or particularly evening-based show.

You know he kept it kind of short and quite girlish,

his evening wear section.

But it was the day wear section

for me that really nailed it.

I love it even more than the sparkly red carpet dresses

which he s also made part of his signature.

So it was a really good Armani show for me.
