He just proves to us that he gets

into the soul of a woman.

I feel the most interesting shows this season

have been the ones that had some element of the movies,

like Alber Elbaz show for Lanvin tonight.

It had a cinematic breadth.

A few months ago I went to the Museum of Modern Art

and there was a performance of Tilda Swinton with

Olivier Saillard, it was Tilda with a white robe

and every passage Olivier would put like,

another piece on her, and every time she was different,

and every time she was alike.

In a way it was like the most old-fashioned show

but there was something so new about it and so modern.

There was a youthfulness to it, and I think he s appealing

to a whole new generation that really wants

to just wear those clothes every day

with their little oxfords, why not?

I wanted to go back to the work I started

with Lanvin with, it s feminine, it s emotional,

and I wanted to take that kind of French Couture

and know-how and introduce it to another generation again

that never wore it and maybe thought Couture is

only red carpet and it s not, Couture is only

an experiment of shapes and volume and cuts and fabrics,

they re what Couture used to be and they are

what Couture is actually.

It s very cinematographic, it s very,

he s telling a story.

It s a story of a woman who loves to enjoy herself,

and who loves to run away at night.

It s very glittery but it s in a substantial way.

It s a woman that you want to meet or want to know.

Now there is a very sensitive human designer

and it comes through, there was a lot of personalities

in those clothes not just one.

There are flowers and there are butterflies

and there are words.

The collection is not a one-note collection because

I don t believe in one-note collection today

for modern women.

We re not just one person in here and Alber

dressed that whole range.
