Inside Alex Consani’s Birkin Bag: A Journal for Manifesting, a Top Model Video Game, and the Keys to Brat City

Hi Vogue, it s Alex Consani and here s what s in my bag.

So this bag is something that I ve wanted for a long time.

It s a whole experience getting work in from Hermes

is like the hardest thing to do allegedly, but I got it.

Ooh, she s moving in there y all. She s alive.

So the first thing I have in my bag, I love to play games.

So I brought Mancala. This is like the best game.

If you played this as a kid, you understand?

I play it with my friends.

Honestly everyone, it s just a really good game.

Classic staple needed.

The next thing I have in my bag that I covet so much,

this is something that if you know me, you know I love this.

It s my journal. I got this journal in Paris.

It has my name on it and I custom made it

and I got all these little charms.

Me and Paloma always talk about these journals

because they re so chic.

I do this thing called positive journaling.

I guess it s where you like write the best case scenario

that your day could go if you re having a bad day.

And it makes your brain think positively

when you re in situations of anguish and it s great

and it s really chic and it kind of looks like old.

And I love that and then for my birthday,

my friends got me this Mont Blanc pen with my name on it

and I m just like appreciating a nice,

like customized journal.

Like that s really fab and you can have it forever.

So journal manifestation is so important

and writing it down is good for your cognitive thinking.

Yeah, I did a lot of manifestation.

I actually manifested doing this video.

Yeah, I ll find the journal entry somewhere

and send it to you guys, but it s true.

So next to my bag, I like to play video games sometimes.

So I just brought this one.

It teaches me how to be a better model

cause a lot of people think that I don t know how to walk.

So I brought this just to show you guys

that actually do practice a lot.

And if you don t know this game

then you should get it and learn like I did.

This is what I learned. Are you ready?

Gagged, huh? Anytime I wanna do a touch up,

I ll use my favorite makeup products.

This is my favorite blush right now.

It s the Saint Laurent Make Me Blush blush. So good.

Oh it still has a thing on it. Heres some ASMR.

Ooh, and then when I do my lips,

obviously I have to use my Alex Consani Mac lip kit.

These are colors that I used to use when I was

in middle school and I used to use the samplers.

So now I have like a full one

with my name on it and that s so cool.

So the next thing that I use and love

and covet, so important, eyedrops.

When I feel tired or not cute, I put in eyedrops

and it s like I m ready to go hit the town.

Usually I use the Lumify but they didn t have them.

So, Visine.

I m a manifester so I like

to have crystals on me at all times.

And this hand stone, yes girl, it s giving hippie boots.

You could tie em from the bay.

I m gonna put them out on the table

to give you guys some good vibes

cause my purse is kind of haunted right now.

This one is a rock. It s not a crystal.

This one s a rock. But this was a lucky rock.

I found it under my grandma s bed.

She got some good energy in that rock.

Honestly, I lose a lot of crystals but this is the one

that I ve had with me throughout all the time.

The next thing that I have is a new purchase.

I got it from the flea market.

It s this cardigan clip holder from the 1920s.

If you can see it has like these little ballet flats on it.

It was a dollar, shout out. It s so pretty.

So the next thing I have is my phone.

Obviously you need a phone at all times.

I usually don t have my phone charged

so this is a lucky day.

Today it s at 50% and yeah, I don t ever carry a charger.

So this is just an authentic bag tour with me

because you know I don t have a charger.

This is my favorite snack. Always carry an apple with me.

Apples are so good and nutritious

and this one is kind of musty.

So I don t know about this apple,

but my other favorite snacks

when I m on the go, I do love nuts.

I love almonds. I love pistachios.

Cream of wheat, that s a really good one honestly.

Cream of wheat in the morning always gets you going.

Real, real baddies know. Where my cream of wheat baddies?

What? They re quiet today.

It s fine, as a model you always need

to stay educated on fashion.

So I usually get magazines.

These are just some random magazines

that I just had laying around.

Oh yeah, this is one of my first Vogue covers.

This is my Vogue Italian cover.

We shot it at a party in Italy during

Milan fashion week and it was kind of crazy.

Like no one knew if they were getting the cover or not.

They just shot the girls. We were just having fun.

And then we got the call

and they were like, okay, you got the cover.

I did my own eyebrows in this, fun fact.

So anytime I m on set I can say that I know how

to do eyebrows cause they got me on the cover of Vogue

and oh my god, there s a perfume in this.

Wait tea, this is fancy. This second cover is more recent.

This is my Japanese Vogue cover.

Me and my friends got to go to Japan together.

It was just a really special moment

and we captured it in this issue.

It was also cool cause it s the other way,

which like I think is really interesting

cause usually Vogue is not usually,

it s like this way but it s the other way.

So you go, then I have my wallet.

Obviously, you need a wallet.

I got this like a long time ago.

It s cute, it s small, it fits in everything and it s chic.

I don t bring my wallet on dates

but I bring my wallet to Vogue

because you actually need an ID to get in

and I had to come in today so,

but if this is a date, it s not here.

That s all I m gonna say. Okay.

The next thing I have that I also use anytime

I m doing a show or I m doing a shoot,

really important in the morning is a eye patch.

These are the best ones. Everyone uses them.

I usually like to cool them.

These are good, they re really expensive

but they really work.

I use them today, kind of tea, but I m also wearing makeup.

Then a lot of people use lighters as

a conversation starter to talk to cute boys.

I don t do that, I use these matches

that one of my friends got me.

They re called Strike Anywhere matches,

so you can strike them anywhere

and I wanna try them out cause I ve never tried them.

Allegedly, you can do it on anything. So was I scammed?

Strike on any rough surface.

Okay, back to the Mancala board. Smells like fire.

Ooh, okay, don t recommend.

They re really cute

and it s really good conversation starter.

Clearly we conversed about how it doesn t work.

So that ll get me my man of my dreams. Yes.

How would I describe the man of my dreams?

Girl, I don t know. Funny hopefully.

Girl, they never funny.

So if someone s funny, it s in my dream. Oh my god.

Wait, okay guys, recently, actually I ve been making

a list of words that we need to start using more.

So I m gonna go through this list.

I m actually really proud of it.

Something that I ve been collecting

over the last couple months.

I would describe the man of my dreams as uncouth.

Uncouth. I don t know, I think it s not classy, maybe.

Clairvoyant phenomenon.

Rambunctious, petrichor. Do you know what petrichor is?

It s a smell of rain on dry earth.

We need to start doing that more.

Decorum, I would describe my man as decorum.

So that s how I describe my dream man.

So I usually bring this in my bag.

It s just a couple glasses. My favorite ones of them all.

These are like my go-to glasses.

I don t know if these are like real or fake

or like what but like gag.

Look at that gag. Say hi.

This one is giving sixties like, spy Italian.

And these ones, these little nasty Prada release,

it s giving Eagle and then these from Tom Ford.

All my friends hate them. They all make fun of me for them.

They say look like a bug.

You know bees are a bug and I be funny.

So, and then these are my dad glasses.

Also Prada, I m a Prada fan over here.

It s really important to have options for your friends

cause you never know what they re wearing.

Why not support your friends and give em some swag.

So yeah, keep this with me at all times.

The next thing that I think people

don t talk about enough is dental hygiene.

So I brought a lot of different dental hygiene products.

So let s educate today, toothbrush. Y all should try this.

It s really good and then I have all of these,

these stretchy flossers.

This is really important. This is a really cool one.

This is a Y flosser.

So you put the floss in this

and you go in between your teeth.

This is really good for reaching the back.

Something some people should learn.

No shade because we all could use

a little knowledge of the teeth.

And here s the instruction manual

if you wanna zoom in and read it.

Teach the girls how to do it.

Dental hygiene is something that more people should do

because you only have one tooth in your life

or like 27 in your life.

So keep em all, keep em happy, keep em shining.

I was gonna bring my giant sunhat but it was too big.

So I got this at Michael s craft store.

It s supposed to look like Carolyn Bessette Kennedy.

People have been telling me I look old

and I think that this just makes me look so young and fresh.

Wait, maybe I d do it better. Is that better?

Also if your hair s in your face, it can be annoying.

So keep that with you.

I wear heels all the time

and sometimes my feet get tired of wearing heels.

So I like to bring extra shoes.

I keep them with me at all times just

because also you never know, like, I don t know,

maybe your shoe breaks and you need

to have something comfortable to wear.

So I have these, these are impractical

so I don t wear them but I do have these ones

cause you never know what the vibe is.

Sometimes you know you gotta be shorty,

sometimes you gotta be baddie.

Pick a side, you know what side I m picking.

The next thing I have is gum. Super important.

This one is Per, chew some gum, top 10 best things ever.

The next thing I have is

a mechanical pencil from middle school.

This is like one of the most important things.

If you don t have a memento from middle school

with you at all times, you need also,

if you know, you know these were the fab ones

that you would find on the floor.

And I would take personally,

so this is like a memory from like

when I stole this from a baddie in class

and it works really well.

I used it in my journal, I draw sometimes.

My best memory from middle school was going to high school.

So the next thing I have is my keys.

I ve overtime collected all these cute little charms

from my friends and my family.

This is the key to Brat City.

If you guys wanna know, I have it official.

Only selected Brat members got one.

So if you guys wanna come into the city,

you gotta come find me.

But the next thing I have is deodorant.

Either me or someone else is always asking for deodorant.

Keep your body smelling fresh, enough said.

The next thing I have is my headphones,

in New York you need these cause the wireless ones,

people don t believe that you re listening to music.

So they ll come and talk to you, scream at you.

But these ones, it s nice cause like even if

you re not listening to music, they know that you re busy.

And sometimes it s fun

cause like I don t know if it s just me,

but like who else talked to themself?

And sometimes it s nice to have headphones in

and it s like, oh like she s on the phone,

she s not on the phone.

This is like me when I m like really stressed.

Like walking through New York, like not having a good day.

Just wanna get from point A to point B.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Like I just say, yeah.

Is it believable because I m trying to get into acting.

So tell me right now if it s believable or not.

Cuticle clippers, ew. Eyebrow, ew.

What else? Oh this.

This is something that my mom gave to me when I was a kid

and used it ever since, it s the lemon flutter from Lush.

This is like the best cuticle oil ever.

My family s cursed with wait,

how close are you on my fingers?

Cause I didn t put on my lemon flutter.

I have this really cute bag

that sometimes I ll carry my stuff in.

It s rogue. Shout out to my sis Haley.

I like to have bags for things

so you can like put everything in multiple different ones

and it s like, oh, like I want a Chapstick.

Pull out the Chapstick bag. Oh I want a hot boyfriend.

Pull out the hot boyfriend bag and it s empty.
