If I put Jeremy in something

and automatically the posture change,

there s a smile on his face.

He s very theatric.

When I see him start to move and start to dance,

then I know it s something there, right?

[bright music]

You know, I just think the fashion guys,

that eBay has so many things that I could pick from.

You catch a vibration off

of the people that you work with.

First thing was like, How do you wanna feel?

You know, it wasn t just about you throwing clothes

on me or throwing a brand on me or whatever.

It was more so like, What is the energy?

What is the spirit?

This is a special night because it feels

like a family reunion.

I feel like this is the moment

where everybody s dressed to the nines.

I ve known Law for over 15 years.

Here to like try on clothes, try on vibes,

see what we want to do.

This year we re talking about fine tailoring.

I m talking about black excellence,

and I think so much of my excellence comes from past,

comes from ancestors.

So I love that we re taking an opportunity

to reimagine something.

We re taking an opportunity to tell another story

on top of pieces that have lineage.

So what I m most proud of is

that everything you see on the rails was sourced from eBay.

You re a historian, so you ll be like,

I saw this look and dah, dah, dah, dah.

Or this reference from the 30s.

And I remember we would go on eBay

and filter it by the year.

Yeah. And we would be able

to find certain things and then that would make you,

then now we re looking at specific broaches

or we re looking at certain ties

and like you could just spend

what you did hours. Not worse.

[both laughing]

So this one is the modern interpretation

of the 1940s zoot suit.

Brown and black people were attacked for wearing this.

So there s so much history.

Right. In this for us.

But then it s also celebratory

because this is what we saw,

like the Big Band and the jazz grace.

Right. So this is a powerful piece-

The zoot suit. That you choice.

[Jeremy] Yeah. [bright music]

It s not fair to think of Taylor

and not think of a officer s jacket.

This one is- Wow!

200 over 200 years old.

It is from the 1800s and it s a coachman s uniform.

It s so much history in this piece.

But I do love the construction and this-

Wow detail.

I mean,

it don t better than that. It s all about the details.

Yeah. Because you imagine being

on the top of those stairs and turning around-

Woo, woo! They like,

Jeremy, Jeremy over the shoulder.

Over the shoulder.

And you get that? Right.

Like crazy. Yeah.

There s also a beautiful Tom Ford on the rack that,

I mean, again, you can t talk about a modern day master

of tailoring without speaking to and about Tom Ford.

Right.

This is Ness. Yeah.

Lee McQueen for Alexander McQueen 1990s.

And I think this is just an impeccable specimen

of tailoring.

Just look at the way the seams going

to the pocket seamlessly.

[upbeat music]

So we have to do accessories.

And the great thing about eBay,

the accessories have been authenticated

and checked by experts.

So we good. We good?

We all good there. [Jeremy laughs]

One thing I really wanna highlight

and talk about is this Patek.

If Jeremy chooses this for the big night,

I would be so jealous because I don t own this watch

and I really, really wanna own it.

This one I think is the most special one

for me because it s a crown.

We ll all feel and know that we are descendants

of kings on the carpet that night.

This one is Tiffany and Co.

Now I could probably put it in a place

where you re not expecting it to be,

and when you see it, you get it like,

Oh, okay.

One of my favorite pieces that I will source

on eBay is this very iconic ring from Cartier.

This is something if he wears on the carpet,

that will be recognized

and will be really appreciated by jewelry fans.

[upbeat music]

I love when we can take an opportunity,

especially with fashion, to reimagine clothes that want

to wear someone s in their proudest of moments.

The clothes really makes the choice

at the end of the day, right?

And so you just have to pay attention.

You have to listen.

I m not pushing my aesthetic

on you- Right.

I really wanna know who you are and what you love.

That s the way I choose the clothes.

The ultimate decision is yours.

Right. So I would let you think.

Hey! [both laughing]
