Versace: Fall 2013 Menswear

Masculinity is not something given to you,

it s something you have to gain.

And this is something that inspires me.

A strong man is always Donatella Versace s goal

with her men s collections.

But with her latest one, she s going for

the kind of strength that surpasses any embarrassment.

(rhythmic modern music)

What an eclectic collection,

full of different inspiration.

But well, what I try to say is to bring back power men.

In the clothes and in the attitude as well.

[Tim] What do you think that collection was all about?

It was like a body conscience.

Emphasize the body, it was a body language totally for me.

I maximized everything.

I maximize luxuries, everything is macro,

the prints are macro, I go extreme, one way.

It s wonderful to see a legend relived,

in such a colorful way.

I think that it gives fashion really,

something out of the ordinary,

and just proves that we don t

have to take ourselves so seriously.

I think we need to accessory the world today,

in fashion especially, and fashion has to be unique.

The uniqueness makes fashion appealing.

(heavy beat modern music)

[Tim] I think you have to be a very strong man

to carry off a look like black lace lingerie.

I don t know, I just think that I can be very powerful,

and I think for this show, it s perfect.

[Tim] And what do you think about men in lingerie?

You know, it had a point of view,

and that s one thing that, you know,

Versace right now has, is a strong point of view.
