After a brief fool’s spring, New York City plunged once again into a cold snap. Luckily, Jennifer Lawrence retrieved her winterwear for an early morning walk today.
The actor, who recently welcomed her second child with husband Cooke Maroney, strolled about town in a chocolate brown trench coat (one we recognize from last winter) and a pair of baggy light-wash jeans. Lawrence kept warm in the near-freezing temperatures, bundling up with a navy blue cashmere beanie and a red clay scarf. She added a pair of tortoiseshell glasses to shield her from the morning sun.
Lately, Lawrence has been all in on the ultra-slim sneaker, making a case for the aerodynamic Adidas Tokyos as the shoe of the season. But today, she changed course, opting instead for a pair of chunky black and silver sneakers. They’re reminiscent of the bulky black, white, and turquoise New Balance 1906R x Aimé Leon Dores that she rocked during her pregnancy.
Lawrence is in good company when it comes to her love of the clunky shoe: Emily Ratajkowski and Margot Robbie join her in the Chic Moms Club, thanks to their respective tastes for Brain Dead x Oakley slip-ons and New Balances. So, even as we inch closer to spring—and our warmer wardrobes—Jennifer Lawrence’s dad sneakers aren’t going anywhere.
