Lady Gaga is deep in the midst of The Mayhem Ball tour—and with a few days of rare free time in Paris, she enjoyed a much-needed date night with fiancé Michael Polansky.
The couple—who got engaged in September 2024 and shared the story first with Vogue—stepped out in Paris for dinner at Laperouse restaurant, a favored celebrity eatery. (loved by everyone from Zoë Kravitz to Katy Perry.)
Gaga appeared wearing a silken black print slip dress with a long skirt, which she paired with knee-high black stockings and platform Christian Louboutin Mary Janes that curved at the heel and featured that signature red bottom. For accessories, she wore her favorite pair of black Balenciaga sunglasses and toted a black Hermès Kelly bag. (A beloved bag in Gaga’s collection, this time sans Labubu charm). Of course, on her finger was the Sofia Jewelry custom engagement ring from Polansky: an 18-karat white and rose gold band which features a large oval-cut diamond, set with pink ombré pavé diamonds, and a hidden white diamond halo.
She kept to her own signature glam, with a blood red lip and her bleach blonde hair long and straight.
Entrepreneur and venture capitalist Polansky kept things much more casual, wearing an orange, green, and white striped Patagonia puffer jacket, black pants, sneakers, and a black “Chicago Music Excellence” baseball cap.
Not that anyone is really expecting a matching couples moment from Lady Gaga and Polansky, save for their few awards show appearances. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce rarely go matchy-matchy on their own date nights, while Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco ardently stick to their own strict style codes when they head to their fave Giorgio Baldi. (Although they both opted for Ralph Lauren at their recent nuptials.) It’s only recently that Hailey Bieber and Justin Bieber have found a shared sartorial rhythm too. Really, it’s Rihanna and A$AP Rocky that have kept the matching couples style moments going. Fiancée-fiancé fashion runs the gamut.
Through The Mayhem Ball tour, Gaga has delighted in the more tough and gothic side of her own personal style. On stage, she opts for biker gang leathers via Saint Laurent, Vaillant, and Zeynep Arcay, with military influenced looks by Balmain, and Matieres Fecales feathery bodysuits. Off stage, you’ll often find her in sky-high Louboutins, chunky boots, and all-back Balenciaga staples.
Gaga and Polansky recently shared that they’re constantly discussing their as-of-yet-undated wedding, but that they intend to get married soon—it may be during or after the tour. The next time we see Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky, they might be Mrs. and Mr. Monster.
