Lauren Sánchez Bezos and Kris Jenner tend to see each other at their most glamorous and celebratory occasions: Lauren’s Paris bachelorette, a glitzy red carpet, a sunny girls lunch in Los Angeles. Photographed leaving an office appointment together in Beverly Hills, the duo looked like they meant business in their tailored, buttoned-up outfits.
It was as office-core as you’re going to get out of the Kardashian-Jenner momager and the former journalist and new wife of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. Sánchez Bezos wore a crisp white and pale pink striped, button down shirt with the sleeves casually rolled up, tucked into her Dior wraparound leather mini skirt, with sheer black tights and black pointed pumps. She accessorized with a chunky gold bangle, angular sunglasses, and a small black Hermès Kelly bag. (Likely containing no documents or stationery.)
Jenner opted for a chocolate brown tailored coat with a black silk cowl neck dress, lace up boots, and her trusty, most I-mean-business Birkin bag.
As we approach fall, more pared back, tailored, and prim looks abound. Take Hailey Bieber, who, while on her recent trip to New York for the retail expansion of her beauty brand Rhode at Sephora, remixed business attire with looks that included a stock exchange-appropriate skirt suit by Calvin Klein, and a buttery yellow leather blazer from Tom Ford-era Saint Laurent with a peekaboo bra. Dua Lipa stepped out in her own take on the classic blouse and pencil skirt combo, exposing a black lacy bra to add some edge. Margot Robbie, meanwhile, looked to Phoebe Philo for a hip-exposing blazer and tailored pant set. While celebrities have a calendar of galas, fashion month, and awards season to get through, cubicle chic seems to be on the agenda.
Sánchez Bezos will likely be setting off for Paris Fashion Week soon. Last season, she went all-in on the severely tailored side of her style in a hard-shouldered, nipped-in Balenciaga coat. With temperatures dropping and her friend Demna’s debut for Gucci on the horizon, one can expect more open shirts, hard suiting, and restricting silhouettes to come from Lauren Sánchez Bezos.
