What could ever get between Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco? Maybe, just maybe, a good tiramisu. How about a pistachio and caramel tiramisu. How about a tiramisu inspired by the notes in Gomez’s new Rare Beauty fragrance.
Well, the couple looked cuter and closer than ever with rows and rows of the classic Italian dessert before them at a special baking event to celebrate Rare Beauty’s latest launch, which took place at Italian food chain Eataly in Century City, Los Angeles. Gomez and Blanco both took part in and demonstrated for the class, mixing, whisking, and assembling with aplomb.
The duo, who got engaged in December 2024, both dressed for La Dolce Vita lifestyle too. Gomez wore a black and white piped cropped cardigan and tank top set from the La Ligne x Dianna Agron collection (the New York it-girl fave brand you’ll often seen on Jennifer Lawrence), dark denim kick flare capri pants, and black patent and pointy, slingback kitten heels. She wore silver hoops in her ears, and her brunette hair slicked back into a tight bun—her bangs era didn’t last too long. So far, so Sophia Loren—perfetto. Her engagement ring, a pavé-set marquise diamond, stayed firmly on despite the hands-on work.
Blanco deviated from his usual laidback style only for the most practical reasons. He wore a cream graphic t-shirt, patchwork denim jeans, with layers of gold necklaces, adding a Rare Beauty-embroidered apron and some kitchen-appropriate, The Bear-adjacent white Birkenstocks.
The pop star and Only Murders in the Building actor has been busy promoting her Rare Eau de Parfum, a gourmand fragrance with notes of caramel, vanilla, and sandalwood that’s being released this week. “Some of my best memories were made while I was creating this scent in a little test tube,” Gomez very recently told Vogue. “I got engaged, celebrated my birthday. It’s something that really feels like a piece of me and embodies the place of life that I’m in right now.” Made even more personal, the bottle has been designed with accessibility in mind, making it easier to open for more people with dexterity issues.
Despite the abundance of sweetness at the baking class, Gomez has said she’ll likely forgo tradition without a classic dessert or a big wedding cake at her September nuptials. Instead? Her “preferred dessert,” “biscuits and gravy.”
Outside of baking class, Gomez and Blanco have been enjoying a sweet summer together when they aren’t working, hitting all their own personal style notes. Gomez, for one, has kept the easy breezy suit and sandal combo trend going, and had a rare couples style moment in suede with Blanco for a sports game date night. More often than not though, Gomez and Blanco hit polar opposite couples style moments—Gomez is more likely to have some GNO twinning time with Taylor Swift.
But for Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco, it’s all amore.
