First Kylie Jenner, now his mom Nicole Flender has dressed up in this now notorious shade of ping pong ball orange for Timothée Chalamet’s Marty Supreme press tour.
The Chalamets stepped out for last night’s premiere in New York—where Timmy was born and raised—wearing color coordinating outfits. Chalamet opted to wear his close friend Haider Ackermann’s Tom Ford; a full, bright orange tailored suit (that’s so instantly recognizable as Tom Ford, shock of satsuma or not, because of that exquisite tailoring and louche silhouette) with a silk shirt and fringed scarf. Styled by Taylor MacNeill, Chalamet also wore Chrome Hearts eyeglasses, a Cartier pendant necklace, and a custom orange Urban Jurgensen watch.
Flender, meanwhile, matched up in an orange silk halterneck dress, with a gold and silver sequin shoulder bag, orange drop earrings, and orange platform heels. She wore her hair up in a chic little up-do, and a dazzling smile to pose with Chalamet.
Last night’s looks follow Timothée and Kylie’s matching couples style moment at the Los Angeles premiere in custom, all-orange Chrome Hearts. Jenner opted for a cutaway, backless leather dress with a sterling silver cross detail at the bust. Chalamet also leathered up in an orange leather jacket and pant ensemble and Chrome Hearts Timberland boots, brought together with a custom ping pong ball paddle bag.
The bright orange shade directly references the movie—where ping pong star Marty (played by Chalamet) posits the white balls should come in this particular color.
It’s not the first time Flender has joined her son as his red carpet date. Chalamet brought Flender to the 2018 Oscars, when he was nominated for Best Actor for Call Me By Your Name. On that occasion, Chalamet opted for an angelic all-white suit, while Flender wore a round-neck, flared black dress. In 2019, they attended the Golden Globes together, and cemented their status as coolest mom and son duo: Flender dressed in a logo vest and trouser set from the spring 2019 Off-White collection, while Chalamet wore a Louis Vuitton embellished harness over a tailored black shirt and trousers. Chalamet also brought Flender to the 2025 SAG awards, where he won for A Complete Unknown.
Flender has thoroughly embraced the Marty Supreme campaign wardrobe. Chalamet shared a text exchange with his mom on his Instagram, showing how she had been asking for a piece of that very sought after merch. “Can you please send me a Marty Supreme jacket?” she asked, to which he responded: “Of course I will!”
Flender then asked him to send over the jacket as soon as possible, “so it’s timely” and could arrive before the movie premiere. (Turns out, Timmy had other plans.) Flender later posted herself in the navy and black version of the Marty Supreme black and navy nylon windbreaker. “I got my jacket!!!”
The Chalamet and Nahmias-designed merch—which has caused crowds and mayhem at pop-ups around the world—has been worn by the Jenners (Kylie, Kendall, and Kris) as well as Hailey and Justin Bieber. Chalamet himself has sported several pieces in candy pink, mint green, and the bright orange, usually flanked by ping pong ball-headed men. The commitment to the bit knows no bounds.
The Marty Supreme campaign tour is a friends and family affair (see Gwyneth Paltrow and Apple Martin’s own, albeit more minimalist, twinning moment), and Timothée Chalamet is throwing everything at it. With the movie hitting theaters on Christmas Day and an awards season trail ongoing, trust this shade is going nowhere soon.
