Through the magic of fashion, I m standing under

an almond tree in blossom on the Dolce and Gabbana cat walk.

It s one of the Sicilian references

in their latest collection.

But what I m really pleased to see

is that there s Fellini in the mix this time.

You have a tree for Sicily.

You go home and you dream what you see,

but we unconscious.

We make a dream about the Greek influence in Sicily.

We take inspiration from the theatre,

from Taormina, from Syracusa.

But all the mind like a Satyricon and Fellini.

You know, the crazy things.

Satyricon, I believe, it s about a man

who apparently was cursed by the gods,

and he was struck down with impotence.

But I reckon that show would be a cure for that.

It s another chapter because they of course,

starting in more romantic way, and now go in Pasolini

with the man, and Fellini with the woman.

I think it s another twist of our history, of our heritage.

When you go and look at those clothes

the workmanship is absolutely astonishing.

It s like couture.

And all those pieces that look like patent and leather,

or not patent and leather,

they re sort of lacquered silk lined in tuile

because women don t actually like wearing PVC and leather.

It s not very comfortable.

So I just think it s all those details.

You know, the Grecian column heels.

So lovely, so playful.

[Tim] What s the craziest thing in the show?

It s all the mood is crazy

because we mix in very Sophia Loren with this.

It s very Satyricon.

The contradiction of element inside of the fairytales.

I think this is eclectic language.

I think it s part of Fellini movie and heritage.

[Tim] I think Fellini is something

you come to later in life.

You know, as you get older, suddenly Fellini

starts to really appeal to you.

Yes, I think it s the most visionary and creative man.

[Tim] That means your next collections

are going to be really exciting.

I know. (laughs)
