Donatella Versace is at her best

when she s at her most personal,

and this hard rock collection today

was Donatella at her most personal.

I m a rock chic fan.

The fact of the collection is about taking

these items easy, like a tee shirt,

or a pair of jeans and make it look relevant.

I styled this tee shirt using micromesh,

jacquard with a laminate fabric and French silk,

and did a digital print on top.

There is a lot of work behind.

This is really Versace.

You know it s what you expect, the sexy, sensual,

but alive, colorful, women are beautiful,

and this is what the women want to be.

[Interviewer] This is so instinctive for you,

this kind of thing.

You ve done leather jackets instead of blazers,

for example, haven t you?

Yes, I did leather jackets instead of blazer

I did also denim jackets instead of blazer.

But it s a special denim,

it s a cotton-blend linen inside,

it looks like denim,

but if you touch it it s something else.

I tried to give the normal items

these traits of grand luxury.

It is very strong and focused,

I think it s what Versace should be now.

With her own imprinting on it.

[Interviewer] It was personal?

Yes, I love it because it s really personal.

It was telling the truth wearing one of the outfits

that were on the catwalk.

[Donatella] I m a fan.

[Interviewer] (laughter) Who are you a fan of?

I m a fan of the World Versace Tour 2014.

Donatella, she has a great sense of humor

and she is fond of everyone and everybody,

and so she s doing it in a very light way.

You know, it s Versace in a light way, that I like.

[Interviewer] I wonder what s taken so long

to do your hard rock collection?

Well I ve listened to Drake

rapping Versace, Versace, Versace,

and having Lady Gaga coming out with

a single called Donatella,

I think that s what it was.
