Narciso Rodriguez Spring 2014 Ready To Wear

It was so easy to do this collection because I just

went back to the core of what I love

and seeing women in a very feminine way,

and life in a very simple way.

(Latin beat music)

Narciso Rodriguez has been looking down

a microscope for inspiration,

and whatever tiny little things he saw there

made a great big bang of a collection.

There s never just one source of inspiration.

I had these beautiful pictures of water and microscopic

shark cells blown up and there were crystals and rock

formations and those were put under a microscope.

It s amazing what you find when you put things

under a microscope, the colors, the color combinations.

Very simple, very pure, very direct.

I like the new lengths.

Really, really tight, really short.

I like the double skirting.

Like the soft and the hard cut on the bottom.

I like the very geometric cuts and everything but to come

back to a very simple, basic line.

I love the proportions, I love the colour.

I really am into the super mini-skirts.

So young and fresh.

I love the way that the skirt was cut.

The shoes.

Are you kidding me?! (laughs)

I want every pair.

[Tim] What he does really amazingly well is combine

the cerebral and the sensual.

Absolutely. I totally agree with that.

I think he s able to

be a bit intellectual but at the same time have

a sense of lightness about his work.

This show was fabulous, this show was really great.

It s been a great couple of years of people looking at

my work and saying,

You know, I remember when you did this the first time,

or, how you ve evolved this into this,

and I have to say I m very proud of that.

And it s what we love about fashion, that we get

to reinvent ourselves every season.

I hope this season was better than the last one

and next season is better than this one

and we re both here to talk about it.
