Joseph Altuzarra s show was about interiors and exteriors,

which sounds rather dry.

The clothes were sober on the outside,

and seething with color and chaos inside.

I guess the message might be,

you can t judge a book by its cover.

It was really about grown-up elegance to me.

You know, simple, beautifully done.

It s very hard to cut a coat that simply,

and have it look so ineffably clean.

It was very much about a very simple volume,

that can be worn in a lot of different ways.

And there s something so subversive

about doing something so simple, and I really liked that.

I think Joseph has an incredible way

with understanding a woman s body and line,

and the fabrics and choices I thought were fantastic.

It was little sharp lines of pop-of-color

I thought were beautiful, and felt dramatic,

but a different level of drama for him.

The grey dresses and the grey looks

that were, you know, a grey flannel.

And then the entire inside is pink, fuchsia, orange,

and then only when you walk does it sort of slice open,

was very much about slicing conventionality

in a hopefully beautiful way.

[Tim] The sort of dialogue between control and anarchy

that was going on there, was so interesting.

A lot of it was also the psychology

between what you sort of perform as a person,

and what you really are.

The thermal fleeces and shearling

that are then on the inside,

all pink or they re painted cobalt blue.

There s something sort of interesting about that.

It s like the two-face of a woman, right?

Like the traditional like element thing,

which is very 70 s and nice.

And a more like, structure and elegant or be classic,

very French in a way to me is perfect shape,

and albeit it was nice.
