It’s summer somewhere, as Zara Larsson will tell you. And while West Hollywood isn’t experiencing an Antarctic winter by any means, Hailey Bieber is making the most of her summery wardrobe down under.
Bieber, who has been in Australia for the expansion of her beauty superbrand Rhode, stepped out last night for the inaugural Vogue Australia summer ball at the Sydney Opera House. Styled by Dani Michelle and sourced from Raffe Vintage, she wore a gold-toned vintage Versace gown from the spring summer 2006 men’s collection. (Yes, this sexy strip of a gown was part of Donatella’s menswear collection.) The dress features a gold and crystal embellished halter neckline that plunges to well below her bellybutton, with a high middle slit and sheer ruffled, paneled skirt, crystals snaking around the hips.
Unlike the more va-va-voom vibes of model (and fellow Brazilian) Isabeli Fontana on the 2006 Versace runway, Bieber kept to her more clean girl glam, wearing her hair in a slicked back bun and her makeup dewy and simple.
It’s been another business trip for the fashion books, as we’ve come to expect from Hailey Bieber. Last year, she celebrated her first retail expansion of Rhode in New York in a series of archival Calvin Klein and DKNY skirt suits, with a sprinkling of peekaboo lingerie and Tom Ford-era Gucci. Down Under, she took to the Vogue Forces of Fashion stage wearing a tweedy jacket and cigarette jeans from Matthieu Blazy’s recent Chanel Metiers d’Art 2026 show and strawberry studded stilettos from the show previous.
For the Wuthering Heights Sydney premiere red carpet, Bieber wore a sheer embroidered dress by Anthony Vaccarello at Saint Laurent, keeping up with the movie’s fantastical and super sensual aesthetic. From a staple Magda Butrym trench to vintage Galliano and even more Gucci, Sydney has seen the breadth of the Bieber style repetioire.
And while Hailey Bieber may have waved goodbye to butter yellow, this soft shade of gold gets a warm embrace.
