Ahn Hyo-seop’s Messenger Bag Is Filled With Fan Gifts

Ahn Hyo-seop is aging in reverse—at least, according to Spotify. The KPOP Demon Hunters star is a confirmed fan of The 1975, with “I Always Wanna Die (Sometimes)” as his top song in 2025. His Spotify age, for inquiring minds? Twenty-four. “I’m still young!” Ahn says.

Also keeping him fresh is the Pro-Calm lip balm he stores in his Gucci messenger bag. “It says it has panthenol, which is good for recovery,” he says.

Something fans might not expect to find in Ahn’s bag, however? “Love,” he says with a laugh, drawing his hands into a heart (of the millennial variety). “I’m a very optimistic guy, and I really believe in love. So I always try to bring it inside of me anywhere I go, to anyone I meet.” Ahn admits that tapping into his inner villain to play Jinu in Demon Hunters proved a challenge. “Going into his emotions, it was actually pretty difficult,” he says.

Really, Ahn is more like the teddy bear keychain he keeps on his bag. “This is the one in Taipei, I think,” he says of the bear. Good news for fans who bring him trinkets: Ahn keeps them near and dear. Also in his rotation is a keychain of his own cat, Ba-ul. “My cat’s pretty famous among my fans, and they would always make this crazy stuff out of it,” he says. “It’s always cute.”

Here, Ahn Hyo-seop gives us a tour of his bag, from his favorite Korean noodles to more sweet gifts from fans.
