Last night, the press tour for Kiss of the Spider Woman officially kicked off with a splashy premiere in New York City. Directed by Bill Condon, the new musical thriller stars Jennifer Lopez, who is already receiving buzz for her performance. Her ex-husband, Ben Affleck, reunited with Lopez on the red carpet to celebrate the big night. (The film is produced by Affleck and Matt Damon’s production company, Artist Equity).
While it may be too early to tell if Lopez will be in the running for the role come awards season, she kicked off her press tour with a winning red carpet look. The star wore a sculptural gown from Harris Reed’s spring 2026 collection: Her floral-printed, sweetheart-neckline dress featured a three-dimensional black peplum that framed her face and waist—the drama! But back to that Lopez and Affleck reunion, which is already making headlines. Clearly, this is a classic case of exes playing nice, and having mutual respect for one another. Ahead of the screening, Lopez addressed the crowd, saying, “Thank you, Ben—this movie wouldn’t have been made without Ben and without Artist Equity.” Between this high-profile reunion and the extravagant J.Lo fashions to come, this press tour is bound to be one for the books… and it’s only just begun.
