Hi Vogue, it s Alex Consani.

Come and get ready with me for my first Met Gala.

[upbeat music]

Hey!

Hi, is it possible to get a fruit plate?

Yeah, and maybe a bucket of ice as well?

Guys, it s starting.

I can t wait.

I m going with Swarovski, which it s been so amazing.

I mean, I have the best team.

Carlos styling and, like, Pat on makeup.

Like, I have a lot of like, you know,

Black icons in the industry, which like,

I think this theme is really about, you know,

giving kudos to Black style

because it influences fashion so much that like,

you know, having people that I trust that understand,

you know, what that means is really great.

Initially, we re gonna smooth her hair out,

straighten her hair.

I m preparing her texture

to make it look really, really simple

like she did it herself [chuckles].

But I could never do it myself, Jimmy.

That s the guy.

[upbeat music continues]

Okay you guys, the food just got here.

It s the best thing.

Look at this gorgeous fruit.

If you know me, you know I love a Peanut M&M.

This is, like, the prettiest of all the M&Ms,

Reese s Pieces, mm.

So this look, it was really special for me

to do something obviously on theme

and work with people that I really trust

and that I think understand the vision of it.

So I asked my friend Carlos Nazario, he s an iconic stylist.

And he was super down, which is great.

It s really, really special to have a custom look

for the Met because obviously, like,

it s difficult and a lot of times, like...

From what I ve heard, it s my first time.

But a lot of times it s like something

that you find out about last minute.

So, like, I had a couple months to prepare for this.

I wanted it to feel very true to the theme,

which is that tailoring.

And it s important to give a nod

and do it in a way that also made sense for me.

Yeah, I m gonna finish my fruit.

I m gonna finish my M&M plate right now.

And I ll see you guys in the fitting.

[M&M crunches]

Do you guys want any?

Come on, you.

This is giving like, wow.

Wow, you guys.

[ethereal music]

This is gonna be me soon.

This is the after look.

She s simple.

She s 90s, but she s gorgeous.

She s Swarovski.

And it s nice because it fits kind of tight at the hip

and it s a little bit baggier, which like,

she not just a normal dress.

Like, there s layers to the fit of it, you know?

Which is gorgeous.

And then the jewelry is a whole nother gag

because obviously we re here with Swarovski.

So the outfit, the jewelry,

it all come together and you ll see.

Fabulous.

[ethereal music continues]

I can hear my hair.

Jimmy just snatched me back.

I can feel my ears on the back of my head right now,

which is such a great feeling.

I was saying it s a Met feeling,

a Met Gala feeling for sure.

[camera lens clicks] [ethereal music continues]

[Carlos] We re just gonna crystallize.

[Alex] Crystallize, crystallize, crystallize.

[Carlos] Crystallize to the gods.

I m feeling so gorgeous already.

I m gonna check in when the crystals are done.

We re still working on it.

It s gonna be a lot more going on,

but for now she s feeling fab.

We re shaving the hair for the Met.

[ethereal music continues]

It s time, you guys.

We have 30 minutes until I get dressed.

I m so excited, but I m a bit nervous.

The nerves are kicking in, but I think it ll be fab.

I mean, I feel so snatched.

Oof.

Oof, come on, Jimmy, snatch me up, girl.

[camera lens clicks] [jazzy music]

I m Giovanna Engelbert.

I m the Creative Director of Swarovski.

And I couldn t be more excited to be here today.

Oh, Giovanna, ah!

It looks gorgeous.

I feel like an alien.

We re gonna be on- I mean, couture.

I mean, it was a little bit the inspiration, right?

Yes!

Rockstar alien.

Couture, rockstar alien, futuristic atelier.

Exactly, exactly.

Tailored for you, honey.

I wanted her to look like a tailoring couture drawing.

This kind of came at first cause I love her body,

and she also wanted to be something

like timeless and elegant.

It s a very important Met.

For the theme, culturally, also is very important

because it s the first time Alex is going to a Met.

So we wanted to do something

that was both timeless but bold, pushing it,

but still, you know, very classy, very strong.

Is there an Advil anywhere?

Do you have an Advil?

I have a Tylenol. Do you wanna see?

Oh. Are you fucking serious?

Okay, you guys.

I m nearly, nearly done.

I m about to get my dress on and show you guys the look.

It s gonna be amazing.

[camera lens clicking] [funky music]

Slay suit, it s a slay suit.

Ice me out.

Yay, ice me out.

It s interesting, like, seeing it come from a sketch

to, like, all the levels of construction

to seeing the finished product.

It s, like, this is the moment that we all wait for.

This is, like, why we do it.

Is it Carlos approved? You look insane.

It s Carlos approved, you guys.

So, sava, we re good, babe.

I m done.

Don t you look gorgeous. Thank you so much.

You look stunning. Thank you, baby.

Doesn t she look gorgeous, everybody?

We did a beautiful smoky eye.

We did lots of our liquid liner opening up the eyes,

and then we did a small amount of crystals

just close to the brown one. Whisper.

[Pat] You were happy, weren t you?

You wanted, like, a whisper.

Oh, I m very happy. Yes.

It s like this of crystal...

[Alex blows air] Yeah, just a [blows air].

We ve worked together many times,

and it was only natural that we do the Met together, right?

First Met with the icon.

I mean, how many Mets have you?

A million.

Many, many, many Mets. A million, babe.

And we love a Met night. Yeah.

It s gonna be so much fun.

You re gonna have so much fun.

Thank you.

Who s gagging?

Put a hand up if you re gagging.

We re all gagging. [all exclaiming]

Okay, I love to see it.

Goodbye, Vogue.

I m ready for the Gala.

I m so excited.

I ll see you there. [lips smack]

[upbeat music] [indistinct paparazzi chatter]

[Paparazzi 1] All four straight ahead.

[Paparazzi 2] All four turn to your left, please!

[indistinct paparazzi chatter]

[indistinct paparazzi chatter continues]

[Paparazzi 2] And look in the center!

[upbeat music continues]
