[Narrator] Scene 104, take five. Mark.

It s really heavy. I reckon it s about

it must be like a pound or something.

I don t know, it s like

Yeah, i m pretty sure it s solid gold. (laughing)

My name s Esther Adams and I m a fashion writer

at Vogue.

This is by Selene. It s an ID bracelet. I like it

because it s a little ironic. It s kind of

oversized. It reminds of of those kind of hip hop

stars from the 90 s covered in bling, but of course

a slightly more refined take on that.

This bracelet is so weighty and almost imposing,

I feel the need to kind of balance it out on the

other hand with this signet ring.

It s by Monique Pierre, and she is a designer

who works with recycled materials, so this is

actually recycled gold and conflict and devastation

free diamonds that are surrounding it,

so there s a lot of weighty meaning behind

this piece.

The reason I picked these pieces was because

I m going to have my first daughter in July.

The idea of having a fun piece like this

to pass on. I was actually given a ring

by my grandmother. It was her wedding ring.

It was covered in black stones, and I inherited

it when I was 14. I think it was the only

heirloom I ve ever had. I thought it was

the ugliest thing I d ever seen when I first got it.

Now, of course, I love it. Even if this turns

into kind of a hip hop disaster, when she s

old enough to inherit it, maybe one day,

she ll think it s the best thing she s ever seen.

So, we ll see.
