Pretty in Pink

I ve always wanted to, you know,

what s it called?

I m Kelly Connor and I m a fashion associate

at Vogue.

(techno dance music)

I love this look from John Patrick Organic.

I m normally not one to wear pink

just because it tends to be sort of a prissy,

prim color.

Somehow after seeing this look on the runway,

I thought it really was a cool look.

It spoke to me that this kind of idea

of kind of a grunge look but in pink,

which is something you wouldn t normally expect.

Growing up I was never really allowed

to wear pink.

My sister, since the very beginning,

called dibs on anything pink.

Whenever we d get a gift it would be the same thing

but in two different colors,

one of them usually being pink.

Even if I liked it it was immediately hers.

Now I have some more freedom.

I feel a little bit rebellious.

I decided if I m gonna do pink

I m gonna go all the way.

I m a grown woman.

(laughter)
