There s no one like Vera, she

really does, just know women.

[Blanks] I feel that Vera Wang is always taking us

on a trip one way or another, but this

season the trip turns psychedelic.

[Peroni] Gorgeous, simple, slightly shiny golden face,

hardly any makeup, just she s just fabulous.

[Pita] Kind of like if a girl came out of the water

and her hair is half dry, and the ends are still wet.

[Blanks] You mentioned Alice in Wonderland.

[Wang] Alice in Wonderland, it s a bit of a trip.

It s about a girl exploring, it s about a girl

that s kind of child-like, I mean I almost say communion.

And then she moves from communion to carnality.

Hopefully for her! [laughs]

[Blanks] It was very different

mood in this show, I thought.

I know, I think the real artist in Vera came out today.

Everything from the structure of the pieces and

the fabrications, you couldn t help but just be fascinated

by every single thing that they were wearing.

[Blanks] It looks a bit like a fencing -- little

[Wang] fencing jacket as well. Yes!

But it s with the focus -- enormous focus

on the detailing of the jackets.

[Currin] It had a strange, competitive, like

sporty thing to it, and it s just

really strange and kind of amazing.

[Blanks] And this is Marie Antoinette s wallpaper.

Yes, but what we did to them and what we -- like, we just

sort of melted them and melded them.

[glockenspiel music plays]

[Albright] I thought it was beautiful, I thought the

clothes were beautiful and the colors were wonderful.

[Currin] I think the combination of the eyelet type

of stuff, that was the grandma, lacy --

but then it had this open back, and then

with the amazing weird water color.

It was basically like imagine your

grandmother s house in a flood.

[Blanks] Do you feel you re fully

committed to fashion in a way?

[Wang] To me, fashion is about reinvention, and

it s about exploring and taking whatever your

aesthetic is or your attitude about

fashion and pushing yourself further.

It s a new way for a woman to feel

youthful and fresh, and modern.

And that s always my goal because I think I m 18. [laughs]
