We came up and just you know that beautiful

sort of glossy hair that actually you know

we haven t done for a while here. Do you know what I mean?

Gorgeous, bouncy, sexy,

yeah, Donatella, basically.

You know with Donatella it s always

that message of glamour, you know?

So this time we are doing a model glamour.

One of the most charming things about Donatella Versace

has always been her honesty

about her own insecurities.

Which is why tonight s show is so uplifting.

Because she s confronting those insecurities

and she s coming out on top.

(intense music)

What do you feel you accomplished with this collection?

Something new for you.

Every outfit tonight, I wasn t afraid.

I absolute fears I m insecure of like everybody else,

but this collection I feel will go all the way,

this was what I like.

When you lose a few of your fears you feel better.

It was like a glittery sea out there

It was so Donatella, at her best actually.

I love the sorbet colors,

I love the black leather with studs.

I love all the whites,

I love the platform shoes, my god they re the best.

Basically the whole painting

of Botticelli s Venus came to mind.

It was volumptuous, it was coverture,

I love the exaggerated shapes,

I think one of my most favorite looks

in this show was the bandeau, with the black studs.

[Tim] Given what you know about the Versace legacy,

how do you feel it s translating into the 21st century?

At first it seemed like it was a look back to a time

that maybe mirrored the rampage of 07 and 08

and now I think it s pulling out what was best about it.

Like those beautiful sea motif s.

It does seem in that way that it s kind of pushed beyond

just referencing it and made a new moment.
