It’s official—you don’t have to be a pair of supermodels or a drool-worthy It couple to nail the effortless yet coordinated doubled-up style trend. Spotted on the streets during Milan Fashion Week, six pairs of supremely chic duos donned a fresh take on matchy-matchy dressing—and we don’t mean the flashy head-to-toe looks of street style’s past.

In former seasons, showgoers took to the streets in twinning outfits to catch the eyes of street style photographers, but thankfully that strategy has come and gone. This season, it was the subtle and fun approach taken by these sets of fashion friends whose style caught our attention. Vogue’s very own Phil Oh captured the best of these twosomes between shows around the fashion capital, wearing six of spring’s most exciting trends—in two ways of course. It seems twice really is nice.

Embrace Brights

Go bold this spring with standout colors in chic silhouettes—a double-breasted coat is so much more fun when it comes in a bright citrus leather, and the same goes for a pair of ribbed trousers in chartreuse.
