[Girls] Backstage at Prada!

(electronic piano music)

Hi, I m Guido, and the look we re doing today

is crossed between a 70s kind of punk girl,

early 70s English punk girl,

so it s that short boyish kind of look

with a little bit more aggression to it.

But it has a Pradaism cuz there s this like

beautiful headband on each girl.

And the fringes on each girl, or the bangs,

are there to give personality and a little nod to the 60s.

(upbeat piano music)

Hi, we re backstage at Prada.

My name s Pat McGrath.

This is just all about lashes, you know,

super thick, super long lashes where we re using mascara

to, you know, apply over and over and over again,

so that they almost look other-worldly, in a way.

And then we re just painting on a little shadow

of the lashes on the lids and under the eyes.

And the skin is completely matte.

There is almost, like an alien quality

beauty about all of the girls.

But then, also, it s kind of a twist

on a very conservative look.

And that s what Mrs. Prada wanted.
