Welcome to London,

where the sun is always shining

and the horses come right by.

[playful music]

You re so sweet.

Right.

[playful music]

Hi Vogue.

I m Elizabeth Debicki

and we are gonna hang out while I get ready

for The Crown Season six finale event.

[playful music]

Every day in London, it s nice and warm.

Around this time of year,

the sky is sort of the color of concrete,

so we are gonna go and get nice and cozy.

Have a cup of tea.

[grunts] Oh, that one doesn t open.

[light airy music]

I have a tea pot superstition,

so I have to turn it three times.

I dunno why.

I dunno what it s protecting me against,

but my mother does it so I do it.

And it s actually quite awkward

when I do it during meetings,

I kind of interrupt people and that s what I do.

[light airy music] [tea pouring]

Thank you very much.

Now I m gonna do my jam.

and then my cream, which is highly controversial.

I m a really old fashioned

strawberry jam kind of girl.

Here we go.

We once had scones on set

while we were shooting season six.

An actual, like, crew war broke out

because half the people go jam and cream

and then half of them go cream and jam

and everybody was like...

It was highly controversial.

That looks brilliant to me.

It s been an incredible job.

I think I m gonna be really

quite sad tonight, actually.

Very surreal to think it s coming to an end.

I ve been playing Princess Diana

for I think about two years,

which is the longest I ve played a character before.

Playing her and doing my research,

the things that really stood out to me

that perhaps I just didn t know,

cause I didn t really know very much,

was just this incredible capacity

for love in a way that is without agenda,

this ability to connect and see people

and people feeling so seen by her

and so there s this enormous love ethic

that she lived her life with.

There was a quote that I used to think about

when I was playing her, and it was something

about sort of like, it was talking

about the media and the attention

and how the narrative can get so skewed.

But she would just said something really simple.

Like, When I go to bed at night

and I turn my light off,

I know that I did my best.

And I just think that purity of intention,

and I just found that very inspiring.

I find her very inspiring constantly

and I think I always will.

And playing her has just been a huge gift

to my personal heart and a huge gift as an actor

because it was such a big challenge,

but a really joyful one.

[gentle lilting music]

Betty Davis over here.

[Stylist] Right.

Weapon of choice, candy.

[indistinct] Candy.

I never really eat a lot of sugar except

when I have to go on a red carpet.

I work with the fabulous Elizabeth Saltzman.

We re super collaborative.

I work with Dior all the time.

I m very lucky to work with them.

We pick what we feel like

and what just appeals to us

and this dress feels like very classic,

good for the freezing temperature out there.

Super elegant.

And then Diruchi and Kelly do their magic.

And I just sit here like canvas.

Chaos.

Good chaos, but chaos.

[gentle lilting music]

Ciao.

[indistinct]

Cool.

Okay, we are running a tiny bit late.

We re super excited.

We ll see you there.

[gentle lilting music]

I am so excited for everyone to see the show

and I m so excited to see

all the beautiful people who make this show.

So I m gonna go and give them a big hug

in the cold.

And thank you so much for hanging out

with me today.

I m gonna go and see my friends.

[ethereal music] [reporters chattering]
