I really like it when you can see a designer growing,

and that s what s happening with JW Anderson at the moment.

Each collection builds on the one before,

there s a real consistency, an accessibility.

But always with the surreal touches

that give every Anderson collection a perverse twist.

I thought it was the strongest because he was exploring

new territory for him.

The clothes actually looked really sexy,

and he s doing sexy in his own way,

it s still his language, it s still all the little things

that you would expect, the assymetry,

the sleeves just hanging off somewhere.

I found it quite surprising, but in a good way.

The proportions in this, the real that was made surreal,

I thought was really lovely.

You re just kind of like, working on that

dysfunctional proportion.

Like, kind of like this idea of obstructions of things

that kind of don t technically make sense.

That surreal approach is there, always.

The way the leather is rubbing the necks,

and around the sleeves, and the cut-offs,

and the way things hung over the body,

and the big hats, and everything.

I like it very much.

I love the show, I love the hats, I love the shoes,

I love the silhouettes, it was simple, it was sometimes.

[Narrator] I love the fact that the sailor pants

buttoned at the back.

I always think they re extremely French,

that kind of trouser, there s something very Riviera.

I kind of love this idea of, there s no end to the leg.

You don t see the foot, it just never ends.

Just like the lapels, I kind of,

how far could they be pushed?

Like, how can they become maybe a little bit psychedelic

in a weird way, and psychedelic didn t have color,

but it was more of a shape.

It was chic and naive.

You had this white shirt, you know,

with just the red color.

She looks fresh and (foreign language) also, a little bit.

[Narrator] It s very (foreign language),

it s being a little bit twisted.

Yeah, we re in London, so it s twisted, I guess.

Yeah, the back was twisting.

We see him move forward every season,

as you have to remember, it s still quite a young brand,

and a contest of the brands that we see

in all of the fashion weeks, and he continues to go

from strength to strength, which is why it s so exciting

to come every season and see the next leap that he makes.
