Stella McCartney knows what her women want

because it s what she wants, too, and this season,

that s something light and pretty and diverting.

It s this idea that when you enter

into this season, it s a real celebration season,

and for me, I just looked at women

and their fragility and they re warmth,

and I just wanted to reflect it in the collection.

I wanted to look at how that side of a women

can also have such an incredible strength

and that it really is only women that have

those two things within them.

It s just really flowy and gorgeous, isn t it?

The materials and the textures, it s like sexy

and feminine, but really comfortable looking.

I thought it was easy, sexy and very cool.

[Tim] And girly.

And girly, yes, and comfortable.

I wanted more movement.

I was really feeling the season and that kind

of warm air that you encounter in the summer,

and I wanted to give the woman more

of that movement and softness and you know,

even the color palette had a gentler approach to it.

[Tim] But that collection was slightly different

from usual, I thought.

Yeah, I think they re always evolving

into a different thing, and you always get a bit

of a Ooh, that s new, which is really great

because she never, ever loses who she is,

and who she s making clothes for.

Women, we stand for a lot.

We do a lot these days, and we have an importance,

and I think that to approach it from a gentler way,

it is quite a strong way to approach,

and so for me, that was really what I was doing.

I m in a privileged position where I have a voice

and I can create something that can just celebrate women.

The way that I work, it s about celebrating them.
