When we started working on this collection,

we wanted to try to create, sort of like a women s odyssey.

Something that was modular, slightly galactic,

something that tried to reject nostalgia

though the process of creativity, to find something,

and it was about this idea of immediacy.

I thought it was really wonderful.

So strong and intuitive.

It s playful enough, but it has real purpose.

There were those wonderful really puffed shouldered sleeves,

and the black suit was completely linear,

so much that it looked like a living illustration

when the model glided down beautifully.

We wanted to try to create knit that was nearly

like a second skin, like something that became

nearly like a uniform.

We have the track looks which have tied-off cuffs,

this idea of nearly air-tagging something.

Kind of like a sport galactic uniform.

Through doing that process, you could work out

what tones and textures would be able to collide against it.

I like the idea of dryness of cotton

with doing plastic taping onto it

so that it created this idea of a contradiction

and slightly a tension in the overall collections.

It felt pop cultural but at the same time there

was a slight, sort of sinister edge to it.
