I m kind of talking about fashion in a very physical way,

and also about the power of controlling your body

or distorting your body.

And I m distorting silhouettes in every collection

that I do in new ways, you know, how can I extend an elbow?

And I thought, well, with another elbow.

So I just kind of thought I ll drape figures

with other figures.

I thought, you know, it can come off a little bit bondagey

which is not what I wanted to look like, it s supposed

to be about unity, and it s supposed to be childhood,

childbearing, I m thinking of supporting families,

the resilience of women in the face of adversity,

and grace under pressure.

What I see is this nurturing quality in women

that I think it s a little bit more developed in women

than men, maybe.
