Roger, what can Giorgio Armani teach you about fashion,
do you think?
You know, I think you can always get inspired
and have ideas about what you wanna wear
when you go out at night.
Possible future for you?
I don t think so [laughs].
Come on. I ll stick with tennis.
[high-energy electronic music]
I wouldn t say it s a look,
it s more like a feeling.
Quite monochromatic, there s a lot of light and dark.
[Tim] Did he say the magic word, chiaroscuro?
I did [laughs].
In my head.
You only have to look at Giorgio Armani s headquarters
in Milan to see that he has an affection for the Bauhaus.
And that movement is actually the inspiration
for his new collection.

This is, in my opinion, the freshest Armani show in ages.
This a new fresh style and incredibly the U woman shape
is really joining with the Armani tradition
in flamboyance and are brilliantly made.

I think it was really done in Milan-esque colors
which are like green and blue and fuchsia and red.
I think Italian need to be explored in some way again,
because we lost this kind of Italian feeling.
[Tim] But it s interesting because Giorgio Armani
helped the Italians, lose that Italian feeling
by making everybody wear natural colors.
And now I think, we need some emotional, some instinct,
we say in Italian, [speaks in foreign language]
which is butterfly in a stomach.
You need to go to buy like, I want that.
I think that s a strong change for him.
[upbeat music]
[Tim] What did you think of those colors then?
They are crazy, and I love them,
I found it was very differential
from any other show in Madrid.
How can I say, candy color Armani [laughs]?
[upbeat music]
[Tim] Did you think that collection
was eccentric at all?
There was a touch of eccentric that I think
it s really close to the New York
and underground, young movement.
Which I think proves that Giorgio Armani
is still in great shape.
